Terms of use
Effective
These terms cover the Schengen app for iOS and Android. The app is published by Arnaud Bertrand, called “we” below. By using the app, you accept these terms.
Free to use
The app is free to use.
Information only
The app helps you count your days in the Schengen area. It gives information only: it is not legal or immigration advice.
The rules can change, and the app’s count may differ from a border officer’s. Border authorities decide whether you can enter or stay.
You can also check a stay with the European Commission’s official short-stay calculator.
Not official
The app is not affiliated with the European Union, the Schengen authorities or any government.
Your data and your backups
Your trips and settings live only on your device. We can’t see them, and we can’t restore them. To keep a backup, or to move to a new phone, export your trips from the app and keep the file.
Liability
The app is provided as it is. As far as French law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using the app or from relying on its count. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that French law does not allow to be limited.
Apple devices
If you got the app from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies too.
Law and language
These terms are governed by French law. They exist in English and in Ukrainian. If the two differ, the English version prevails.
